Creamy Pasta w/ Asparagus & Tuna

IMG_01 F: Edited.jpg

Ingredients:

1 Single Cream

200g Short Pasta

100g Asparagus

1-2 Cans of Tuna in Brine

1/4 Chili Flakes/Powder

10g Dill

Salt/Pepper

Method: Begin by filling a small pan with water just about half-way with a pinch of salt and place it on a high heat so the water begins to boil. Monitor the pan as it will be used for your pasta. Take your asparagus and chop them into chunks of 4 along the length of them. If you have fancy knife skills, you can cut them diagonally for effect.

In a separate frying pan, get it to a medium-high heat and throw in the asparagus along with a touch of olive oil. As is it cooking, place the chili and a touch of salt in the pan. Leave to cook gently on a medium-low heat. At this point, the water for the pasta should be boiling so just throw in the pasta and leave to cook for about 10 minutes. Then open your tuna can(s), drain them of any excess water and add them to the pan with the asparagus. Cook for maximum five minutes and then taste.

If the asparagus is cooked through but still a bit crunchy, it is ready. Turn off the heat, leave to cool for a couple minutes and add the cream. At this point, the pasta should be ready. If so, drain, add to the pan and mix well. Finish the dish off with some freshly chopped dill and serve. Give us your thoughts on our Instagram page!
