Ingredients:

300g Frozen Squid

200g Corn

1 Cup Dry White Wine

4-5 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

100g Basmati Rice

1/2 tbsp Thyme

1/2 tbsp Ginger

1/2 tbsp Sweet Paprika

Salt/Pepper

Let’s get the simple stuff out of the way. Boil a pot of water for the rice. Once boiling, throw in the rice and boil for approximately ten minutes. Next, take the kalamari/squid out of the freezer to cool a bit. Take out a frying pan and place over a medium-high heat. Once hot, add a touch of olive oil and the squid. You may increase the heat slightly so that the excess water (which will be released from the squid as it was frozen) evaporates. This process should take no longer than five minutes while mixing. Once the water has fully evaporated, add in the corn and Worcestershire sauce. Continue cooking and mixing for another 4-5 minutes on a lower heat.

Then, add in the spices and mix for another couple minutes. When the spices have coated all the ingredients, add the white wine and leave for five minutes to cook so the alcohol evaporates and all your left with is the fantastic wine flavour! Once the wine has evaporated and has deglazed the pan, the dish is ready. Check on the rice, drain and serve alongside the squid or however else you wish to eat it. Add salt/pepper to taste and Bon Appetit!
